Getting Old in our Twenties??

I’m still in my early twenties, and have a long fruitful life ahead of me. This I realize, therefore I like to enjoy as much as my present day youth as possible. I enjoy clubbing, partying, late nights, sleeping in, blah blah blah. I’m pretty much your all around 20 year old girl. But why is it, that at this age, I feel like everyone else around me is embracing the hug of old age. All of a sudden, people who used to party all night long last year, have to go to home because they have work in the morning. If someone has an exam in a week, they’re already staying home and studying. I understand embracing responsibilities, and doing everything in moderation, but more and more young people are beginning to act as though they’re 35 with children.

Remember everyone, if you’re not going outside because of sheer laziness, then go ahead, let your life pass you by, but when your 20-something, you should embrace it. Go outside, enjoy the weather, enjoy the night, because once your twenties are done, they’re over. This is the last bit of true youth that you will enjoy in life. From there on out, it’ll be a former glory, just like your teenage years. So stop trying to grow older than you are, have fun, it’s alright, you won’t be judged (as long as you have a balance in your life).

Your twenties and teenage years are not the only decades when you can let loose and be wild. I know many people in their 40s who party more than I do.
I think the reason why my older friends can party so much is because they put in their time. They did the exams, did the work, and now they have a ton of money and time to spend.
But like you, I have also noticed some of my friends in my age group have been opting for a cozy bed instead of meeting for some social activity, even for a few hours. I wouldn’t say they got old- I’d say they got boring. :)
