Violence Amongst Youths

As we seen everyday, violence amongst youths is greatly increasing. Time and time again this is questioned, and many fingers have pointed to pop culture, or in other words the things that youths are influenced by. Sure we can say that it’s the video games, TV shows, celebrities, etc. But hold on a second, many people of legal age are also influenced by the same pop culture (and this does not go for everyone), but many of us know the difference between real life and what we see in entertainment. It’s not fair to say that games like GTA and Call of Duty make kids want to kill people. If the youth doesn’t know the difference between a game and reality, then someone hasn’t been doing their job (not saying the parent is the only one, this could be any adult like a teacher, etc, in the youth’s life).

So when looking at violent teens bringing guns to school, or beating each other up, shouldn’t we ask about their homes? Their parents? Their circumstance? I think that the worst part about current day society is emotions. We try to act as though they don’t exist, but teenagers are very emotional at that point in life, and any little thing can trigger them to take rash actions in a scenario. So for the many people that point to entertainment as the one to blame, maybe you should look twice and think about how you can handle the situation with your own influence. Perhaps pop culture may play a role in the issue, but when it comes down to it, the people surrounding a youth’s life are the most influential.

Our youth are our future, so don’t play the blame game, pay attention to them.

WTF Lady Gaga…Part 2

As I was reviewing the comments being posted on my first blog about Lady Gaga, I realized that a lot you get very angry, and upset about the fact that I don’t care for her “stage persona”. It shows  me that Lady Gaga has a large and deeply embedded fan base, showing that her “style” reaches out and connects to a lot of people out there, therefore she is a good performer. However, that shows that there may be a lot of weirdos out there, especially to take one little blog so importantly. It’s almost as though I said something rude about their mothers! I mean, it was just a comment, we all gossip about celebrities, but I think some of you are dwelling on it as though it was your own personal best friend. And then you rant on my blog that I’m making a big deal about a celebrity?

I mean, a lot of you can’t handle my opinion about Lady Gaga, and think you need to correct me. But you’re just as bad as I am. Freedom of speech my friends (or in this case writing). This is life, we don’t all have to like the same thing. For those of you who can’t accept this concept, and feel the need to make fun of me, please stay off my blog, it’s just for fun!

OK, so like I said before I like Lady Gaga’s music, it always sounds funky to me. It has a great beat to dance to, or listen to in your car when you’re driving. But honestly, his disco stick? WTF? If that’s what you kids are calling it these days. Seriously, I mean, it’s like she’s been dying to tell the world how horny she is, and now that she’s getting famous, she can’t stop! I know it’s hard to understand the lyrics (besides the chorus) because sometimes she sounds like a f***** up robot, but it gets pretty bad, “I’m educated in sex, yes, and now i want it bad, want it bad”. I mean who the hell feels the need to tell the world that she’s educated in sex. Or was that just another way to let everyone know that she’s a whore and down for everything. But I thought once you get famous, it’s easy to get laid no matter how much of a “butterface” (but her face) you are! Maybe she just thought that no one knew she was easy yet. By the way, did you guys see the end of this music video? Maybe she’s going for that whole empowerment thing like Madonna, but something is missing. WTF Lady Gaga??!!?

Now I don’t mean to sound like someone who is hating on my generation or anything, and don’t get me wrong, I like Lady Gaga’s music, but honestly, she’s totally weird! I mean, in our day and age anything meaningless or confusing is praised by young society. Why? I just don’t get it. I mean I like Lady Gaga’s music because it has a good beat. But really, I only understood her first song about just dancing in a party. The way I interpreted it was that I drank too much and now I have to dance a whole lot to sweat it out and sober up. I don’t know what else she was singing about. I mean she was humping a children’s pool toy in the bloody kiddie pool in her music video?!? I don’t understand why girls think they have to look like trash of some form to get noticed. Her music is pretty funky, that’s all she needs to put out there. And really, why is she always dressed like a space robot? What’s even more funny, is that she’s completely outrageous and slutty in her music videos, but when someone interviews her shes quiet and somewhat shy. Stop trying to act like you’re a reserved young lady when you’re selling sex to get big! This jig is up buddy, everyone knows you’re a whore! But honestly, I do like her songs, the rhythm, all that crap, but just because people like you, you don’t have to start acting like a douche to keep their attention. Who can relate to the horrid way she dresses, and her weird cover your face dance moves along with the in your face sex!? Lady Gaga, you’re going to confuse your fans too much and make yourself a 3 hit wonder (aka Sisqo)! Sorry to report the bad news hun!
